Janice Grewatz, MS.Ed, CSPDT, CSFA, CST, FAST
Janice Grewatz is the Program Director and Associate Professor at Parkland College in Champaign, IL. Grewatz earned her AAS in surgical technology from Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, NE, and both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Education degrees in Workforce Education and Development from Southern Illinois University, with concentrations in training, curriculum and instruction, online learning, and learning systems design and technology. Grewatz has been a Certified Surgical Technologist for over 30 years, is a Certified Surgical First Assistant, as well as certified in Sterile Processing. Additionally, she has served as a technical reviewer and contributor to several surgical technology textbooks, a revision panel member for the Core Curriculum for Surgical Technology, 7e., has served on various committees within CAAHEP, and has actively participated in the profession through state assembly leadership, as a member of the ARC/STSA Board of Directors and as President, as a site visitor for the ARS/STSA, and has received the Fellow of the Association of Surgical Technologists award.
