Janice Grewatz, BS, CST/CSFA, CSPDT, FAST, served on the revision panel for the 7th edition of the Core Curriculum in Surgical Technology, and is the Program Director and Associate Professor at Parkland Community College in Champaign, IL, and current President of the ARC/STSA.  Grewatz earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Workforce Education and Development from Southern Illinois University and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree with concentrations in curriculum and instruction and learning systems design, and technology from the same university.  Grewatz has been Certified Surgical Technologist for almost 30 years, is a Certified First Assistant, as well as certified in Sterile Processing.  Additionally, she has actively participated in the profession through state assembly leadership, as a member of the ARC/STSA Board of Directors, as a site visitor for the ARC/STSA, and has received the Fellow of the Association of Surgical Technologists award.
