Jennifer Lloyd, BS, CSFA, CST, HCM, is the director of the Associate of Science in Surgical Technology program at Trine University in Fort Wayne, IN. Lloyd has been in the medical field for thirty six years, of which thirty-five have been as a surgical technologist.  Her career includes tenures at St. Joseph Hospital, Parkview Hospital, the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System in Fort Wayne, as well as working privately for a group of cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons.

Lloyd was one of the first three people in Fort Wayne to obtain certification as a surgical first assistant.  She has been a tireless advocate and promoter for the use of the certified surgical first assistant (CSFA) in Fort Wayne.  She was the first, and to date, the only surgical technologist in the area to perform endovascular vein harvesting.

In addition to working for Trine University, Lloyd is a member of the Health Science Advisory Board for Fort Wayne Community Schools Career Academy, Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Association of Surgical Technologists, and Association of Surgical First Assistants.
