Tatum Schulz-Fischbach, MA, CSA
Tatum Schulz-Fischbach graduated from the University of Massachusetts with her B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2018. After graduation, she completed the Surgical First Assistant (SFA) program at Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences and was hired as a certified surgical assistant (CSA) in the Department of Gynecology and Urology. Continuing her education, she completed a Master of Arts in Health and Human Services Administration from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota in 2023. With her passion for training and development she joined the faculty for the SFA Program to instill knowledge and skills into the next generation of surgical assistants. Schulz-Fischbach was named Program Director for the brand-new CST to SFA Bridge Program at Mayo Clinic that launched this fall. Additionally, she serves on the Board of Directors for the National Surgical Assistant Association. When she is not busy educating, she enjoys being active, anything involving the outdoors and adventure, convincing those around her to run races with her, art, and gardening.
